Happy Birthday Scott/Brady's surgery

Scott's 35th (sorry honey) birthday was a week ago today so I figured today was a good day to blog about it. I don't know if it was one of his best birthday's ever but I think it was okay. He actually had most of the day off so he decided we should all go to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a lot of fun!

Today was chunky monkey's (aka Brady's) eye surgery. Both of his eyes "wandered" intermittantly and eventually the brain will give up on trying to get these eyes to work right together. So today was the day. It started with getting the kids up at 5:30 am and driving to Phoenix Children's Hosp. He was supposed to be the first case of the day, notice I said supposed. Now for those of you that don't know this, Brady wasn't Brady until he was about 6 months old, he was born Tyler. I ended up not liking Tyler as much as I thought I did so we legally changed it. When we got to the hospital all of the paperwork said Tyler which if submitted to our insurance company would not get paid. So the "process" of them changing the name on his chart took almost 2 hours. 2 hours to a 2 year old who hasn't eaten or drank since 7 pm the night before IS A LONG TIME!

Well they finally got him done and he did great. What they do is they cut the eye muscles where they attach to the eye, move them a little, and reattach them. It's actually outpatient surgery. Bailey tagged along and was very concerned for her brother and at the same time very relieved it was him and not her. We finally got home at 9:30 and he finally just woke up at 1 pm.

This is Mr. Grumpy Pants at home after his surgery.

This is Bailey's best impersonation of Mr. Grumpy Pants.

Little Miss Thang all dressed up for daddy's birthday.
